Yes, you can configure the most important field validations in a form sectionally. You can configure the following validations in a section – Mandatory, ReadOnly, Visible, Status.
For section-wise customization of fields in a form, follow the steps listed below –
1- Click on Workflow Setup from the dashboard.
2- Click on the workflow to which you wish to make changes.
3- At this stage, you need to select the stage to configure the validations -> select Form Designer to make section-wise changes.
4- Click on the required settings for the particular section as per your requirements.
Mandatory – Select the checkbox Mandatory and select any one of the values from the dropdown – Yes, No, Conditional Mandatory.
- If you choose Yes, then all the fields in a section are mandatory.
- If you choose No, then none of the fields in a section are mandatory
- When you choose Conditional Mandatory, you have to specify conditions.
- If the specified conditions are satisfied, then all the fields in a section are mandatory.
ReadOnly – Select the checkbox ReadOnly and select any one of the values from the dropdown – Yes, No, Conditional ReadOnly.
- If you choose Yes, then all the fields in a section are read-only and are not editable.
- If you choose No, then all the fields in a section are editable.
- When you choose Conditional ReadOnly, you have to specify conditions.
- If the specified conditions are satisfied, then all the fields in a section are read-only.
Visible – Select the checkbox Visible and select any one of the values from the dropdown – Visible, Invisible, and Conditional Invisible.
- If you choose Visible, then all the fields in a section are visible to the user.
- If you choose Invisible, then all the fields in a section are not visible to the user.
- When you choose Conditional Invisible, you have to specify conditions.
- If the specified conditions are satisfied, then all the fields in a section are not visible to the user. Click here to know more about conditional invisible.
Status – Select the checkbox and turn off the toggle if you want all the fields in a stage to be inactive.
