Here's an overview of some of the common terms of Cflow.

Access Permission

Cflow lets the Administrator to configure view/edit access to different modules in the application using the access permission tab page. You can specify access permission to Workflows, Reports and Lookups.

Admin

Admin in Cflow refers to the Administrator role and has access to configure the settings of the application.

Analytics

Analytics in Cflow helps to quantify the performance so that you can take more informed decisions. Two different kinds of analytics are available in Cflow – Workflow Analytics and User Analytics.

API Settings

In API settings, you can use the API key to use the Cflow web API as well as to integrate with third-party applications via Zapier.

Backup Setting

You can configure the frequency of data backup in Cflow using the Backup Setting.

BAM

BAM refers to Business Activity Monitor which is an advanced level of analytics in Cflow that helps you monitor the business activities and track the performance of your workflows.

Control Center

Control Center is the module where you can manage the configuration of your workflows, including rules engine, notifications, form designer and so on.

Dashboard

Dashboard is the first page after login, where you can view the notifications, reminders and much more.

Delegate

Admin can delegate the pending requests in a workflow to a different person when the main user is away on vacation.

Document Designer

Document designer lets you design your own customized invoices, bills, receipts and formatted documents for automatic download in pdf format.

Flowchart

Flowchart gives a pictorial representation of the workflow and is useful in understanding the flow of a request from initiation to the END stage.

Form Designer

Form Designer is where you can manage the settings of the fields in the form. You can edit the field, make the field active/inactive, show/hide the field and manage a number of other properties.

Form Properties

Form Properties is where you can specify the basic features of the form in your workflow such as name, delete control, attachment mandatory and so on.

History

Cflow maintains complete audit history of every request in a workflow so that you can review all changes done on a request.

Insert New Stage

After a workflow is designed and published, you can still add a new stage in a workflow using this feature in the Control Center.

Lookup

Lookup is a master table in Cflow and is used to automatically populate the field values in a workflow.

Mail Settings

Mail Settings is where you can configure the sender’s email address to send email notifications.

Password Policy

A password policy is a set of rules created to improve login security in Cflow. The purpose of the policy is to establish a standard for creating strong passwords.

Recall

This feature lets you move a request to the previous stage so that you can review the request and submit again for review and approval. You can recall only if the request is waiting in the very next stage of approval.

Roles

Roles are actors that are given access to different workflows and reports in Cflow. Users are assigned to a role. Ex: Admin, Manager, Team Leader. A user may also play multiple roles.

Rules Engine

Rules Engine is used to configure the conditions for a request to move from one stage to another. You can also specify rules for automatically setting field values or to trigger a request in a workflow.

SMS Settings

You can configure the SMS provider and related settings to send SMS notifications automatically.

Team

Team is a group of users and is used in access permissions. Selecting My Team would enable all users in a team to view/edit the requests.

Users

Users are people that have access to the Cflow application. Users are assigned to a specific role.

User Analytics

You can see the time taken for approvals by different users in a workflow. User Analytics is useful in quantifying the performance of the employees.

Webhooks

A webhook delivers data to other applications in real time. Webhook is typically configured when integrating with third-party applications using Zapier.

Workflows

A workflow is a sequence of tasks or activities that are required to be performed to achieve a result. Multiple Stakeholders are typically involved in a workflow. Building a workflow in Cflow is easy and involves just two steps – Design form to capture the necessary information, and Create flow to define your flow and specify the condition to move from one stage to another.

Workflow Analytics

Get the drill down on the workflows that are breaching SLAs or close to breaching. Workflow Analytics is useful in quantifying the performance of the workflows so that you can take the right decisions for your organization.
