How do I clone/copy a request?

To enable and use the Clone feature for requests in Cflow, follow the steps below:

  • Go to Workflow Setup from the left panel.
  • Select a workflow from the list.
  • Click on the Advanced tab.
  • In the left panel, click on Workflow Properties.
  • Under the Controls section, locate Clone a Request.
  • Turn on the toggle to Enable Clone.
  • Click Setup if any additional configuration is needed.
  • Click Save at the bottom right.

Once enabled, users can clone requests directly from the Stage Inbox.

For example, if you want to duplicate a request in the Expense Report workflow:

  • Go to the Stage Inbox of the workflow.
  • You will see a Clone icon (two overlapping documents).
  • Click on the Clone icon next to the request you wish to duplicate.
  • The cloned request will appear in Draft mode and will be marked with a ‘D’ prefix.
  • You can modify the cloned request if needed and then submit it for approval.

This allows you to quickly recreate similar requests without starting from scratch.
